I didnt noe he same math class as sng geng... sigh lol... and i met someone else from math camp also but i forgot his name leh... only noe his frm rosyth.. XDanyways, borrowed Tuesdays With Morrie... super touching... quotes from da book: Tension of Opposites "Life is a series of pulls bak and forth. You want to do one thing, but you are bound to do something else. Something hurts you, yet you know it shouldnt. You take certain things for granted, even when you know you should never take anything for granted." "A tension of opposites, like a pull on a rubber band. And most of us live somewhere in the middle. " Sounds like a wrestling match, i say. "a wrestling match." he laughs. "Yes, you could describe life that way." So which side wins, i ask? "which side wins?" He smiles at me, the crinkled eyes, the crooked teeth. "love wins. Love always wins." haha nice rite? thats the power of love. the power of eternity. the power of trust. The power of faith. The power of justice. The power of equality. and the power of the living. all these, are love.... XD More quotes: "so many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your mommunity around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives ou purpose and meaning." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "mitch, you asked about caring for people i dont even know. but can i tell you the thing im learning most with this disease?" Whats that? "the most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in." His voice dropped to a whisper. "let it come in. We think we dont deserve love, we think if we let it in we'll become too soft. But a wise man named Levine said it right. He said, 'love is the only rational act' " ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ awww the book is so touching... but it has an evil ending.. sigh... >.<> |
